All My Sons, God of Carnage, Billy Elliot, Nora and Delia Ephron Among 2009 Artios Award Winners

The 2009 Artios Award winners for Outstanding Achievement in casting were announced yesterday at a ceremony at the New York Times Building, hosted by Janeane Garofalo. Celebrity guest presenters included Christine Ebersole, Vincent Kartheiser, Jennifer Morrison, Carrie Preston, Bill Pullman, Elizabeth Reaser, Michael Shannon, and Patrick Wilson.

As previously announced, Nora and Delia Ephron are the recipients of the New York Apple Award, which was presented to them by Stanley Tucci. Laura Ziskin received the Career Achievement Award, while John Frank Levey was given the Hoyt Bowers Award.

Among the winners in New York theater's competitive categories are Cindy Tolan for All My Sons, Daniel Swee for God of Carnage, Tara Rubin, Merri Sugarman, Laura Schutzel, Eric Woodall, and Nora Brennan for Billy Elliot, Howie Cherpakov for Fault Lines, and Nancy Piccione for Ruined. James Calleri won the Regional Theater East category for The Glass Menagerie, Amy Lieberman won in the LA theater category for Once On This Island, and Michael Donovan won in the Regional Theater West for The Little Foxes.

Winners in the film categories include April Webster and Alyssa Weisberg for Star Trek, Francine Maisler for Tropic Thunder, Francine Maisler and Nina Henninger for Milk, Avy Kaufman for Sunshine Cleaning, Kevin Reher and Natalie Lyon for UP, and Jason L. Wood for Bye Bye Sally.

Winners in television categories include Junie Lowry Johnson for Trueblood, Robert J. Ulrich, Eric Dawson, Carol Kritzer, and Jim Carnahan for Glee, Laura Schiff and Carrie Audino for Mad Men, Cindy Tolan for Flight of the Conchords, Ellen Parks and Robin D. Cook for Grey Gardens, Alexa L. Fogel for Generation Kill, Ruth Lambert and Robert McGee for Wizards of Waverly Place, Gillian O'Neill for Rick & Steve, The Happiest Gay Couple in All the World, and Mark Teschner for General Hospital.
